‘Click Bait’: Tammy Ly Talks ‘Paradise’ Regrets and That Messy Love Triangle with Aaron Clancy & Thomas Jacobs
Bachelor Nation star Tammy Ly first appeared on Season 24 of “The Bachelor” but took another shot at finding love during Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
As soon as she got to the beach, she developed a connection with Aaron Clancy, but the minute Thomas Jacobs arrived, there was trouble in “Paradise.”
As fans know, Aaron and Thomas came to “Paradise” with unresolved drama from Katie Thurston’s season of “The Bachelorette,” so Tammy found herself in a love triangle with two men who weren’t fond of one another.
She decided to follow her heart and pursue Thomas, but things didn’t work out between them romantically and she ended up going home this week.
Tammy stopped by “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” to discuss that messy love triangle and whether she wishes things had gone differently in “Paradise.”
“I have no regrets,” she said right off the bat. “I followed my heart and sometimes it steers me in the wrong direction, but I don’t regret anything. You know, I don’t regret switching from Aaron to Thomas because I had a better connection with Thomas. I was just trying to figure it out.”

She did reveal that she wishes she hadn’t hurt Aaron along the way, though.“It was a tough situation,” she said. “In the real world, I think I would’ve tried to ease him into it more, but it’s literally day by day and things move very quickly in ‘Paradise.’”
She continued, “I never wanted to hurt Aaron. That was never my intention. I feel like he thinks I did it to spite him, just because Thomas was his mortal enemy, but that was not the case whatsoever. I just had a better connection with Thomas.”
Even if she had known things ultimately wouldn’t work out with Thomas, she said she would have explored other relationships outside of the one with Aaron anyway.
Tammy explained that she went into “Paradise” interested in meeting Aaron, but she didn’t feel a romantic connection with him like she’d hoped. “It wasn’t getting there,” she said. “I can’t force a connection.”
As for where she and Thomas stand today, Tammy said they’re still good friends, which she realized is better in the end.
She took to Instagram earlier this week and teased that she’d be open to coming back to “Paradise” again one day, so here’s to hoping she finds the love she’s looking for!
