20 Questions with Mara: Find Out Her Favorite Part About Being on ‘The Bachelor,’ Plus: Her Hidden Talent
Fans have gotten to know Mara on Clayton’s season of “The Bachelor,” and there’s still a lot to learn about her that we haven’t seen onscreen.
Here, she opens up exclusively to BachelorNation.com, answering 20 rapid-fire questions.
Get to know Mara a little better below!
1. A taboo topic I love talking about is: Death and the existence of an afterlife. It’s inevitable, so the more you know about it, the less you fear it.
2. I think a celebrity couple that is the definition of #relationshipgoals is: Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.
3. My guilty pleasure is: Late-night snacking. I’m great at fasting and eating well during the day, but when those late-night hours start creeping in, so do the cravings. No food is safe around me. Mama’s hungry!
4. The best relationship advice I ever received was: Love yourself more than you love them. (You’ll never put up with disrespect or abuse if you care about your well-being more than you care about keeping them around).
5. My zodiac sign is ___________ and my most [insert zodiac sign] trait would be: Capricorn. Quite ambitious, I’m a good combination of tough and caring. Ask Clayton. 😉
6. My biggest pet peeve is: People chewing with their mouth open/sounding the fork when eating. Overall, bad table manners.
7. The first thing I do when I wake up is: Snuggle with my dog, then do a little downward dog of my own.
8. My last meal on earth would be: A buffet. Give me a smorgasbord of all my favorite foods (sushi, pizza, tacos, steak, fish, pad Thai, mofongo…)
9. The song that always gets me pumped up is: “Love Again” by Dua Lipa. Pretty much anything Dua Lipa gets me hyped.
10. My hidden talent is: Living (and thriving) on the road in my conversion van. (Even though I do have a stationary home, I just adore the mobile life.) I know the ultimate travel secrets, coolest spots to park, best places to visit, and most breathtaking roads to create the ultimate road trip every single time. #vanlife
11. The person that inspires me the most is: My mom. And Jennifer Lopez. (Sometimes I dream they are one and the same.)
12. The movie I’ve rewatched the most is: “Scream.” It’s a total cinematic game-changer by being a genuinely scary and comedic film.
13. The most famous person who has slid into my DMs/followed me on social media is: Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler (we all worked together on Jamie’s film).
14. The last thing I Googled is: The coolest things to do in Chicago. (I travel a lot. Always seeing what’s new and cool in every city.)
15. My favorite part of being on “The Bachelor” was: The incredible experience I had and amazing friends I made.
16. Being on “The Bachelor” taught me: Patience. Would you have been that calm with Shanae yelling directly in your ear about shrimp?
17. My celebrity crush is: Channing Tatum. Especially in “Magic Mike”… I mean, c’mon!
18. My advice for anyone who goes on “The Bachelor” is: Be sure of who you are as a woman and as a person. There are so many factors that can alter your image, mindset, or experience on the show, so as long as you have a strong base and sense of self, it’ll be easier, still not easy, but easier to handle the haters and tolerate the trolls.
19. If I had to hang out with only three people from Bachelor Nation for the rest of my life, it would be: Damn, that’s a hard one. Genevieve, Kira, and Susie (and Gabby and Marlena). It’s hard to choose. My season was just jam-packed with incredible women!
20. Where do you see yourself in 5 years: Running a successful business (or two) that I love, married to a loving, mature, hard-working, and intelligent man with one child (and another on the way), owning several beautifully self-designed container homes in various cities, traveling and exploring life together as a family.
