Celebrating Mother’s Day!

Bachelor Nation fan favorite Raven Gates Gottschalk became a mom earlier this year when she and her husband Adam Gottschalk welcomed their son Gates into their lives.

Since welcoming Gates, Raven and Adam have been sharing their life as new parents on social media with their millions of followers.

And now, Raven is stopping by to chat with BachelorNation.com exclusively about her very first Mother’s Day.

Bachelor Nation: Happy Mother’s Day, Raven, and congrats on your beautiful baby boy! What has life been like since welcoming Gates?

Raven Gottschalk: Thank you so much! Life has been great. It’s Definitely a roller coaster and I’ve had to find mine and the baby’s rhythms. It’s a lot of adjusting but something I was completely ready for!

BN: That’s amazing! What has surprised you most about motherhood?

RG: I think sometimes I’m still in shock that I created a human. I know women do it all of the time, but until you experience it, it really is an unknown feeling that you have of love!!

BN: Awww, yes, it’s so incredible and Gates is so beautiful! What is your favorite part of motherhood so far?

RG: My favorite part so far is just celebrating all of the tiny milestones that happen. I love the day he smiled, I love the day he giggled, and I love the day that he rolled over on his own.

BN: Those moments are just the sweetest. How would you say motherhood has changed you?

RG: I think it’s made me more emotional because now I see life in a whole new way.

BN: Absolutely. Are there any milestones that you are most looking forward to in the future?

RG: I definitely do not want to wish the time away, but I do wonder what it will be like when he is running around the house!

BN: That makes sense, and yes, that’ll be so fun! What does being a mom mean to you?

RG: It’s so important for me that Gates always knows that I love him. And I hope he looks at me as a very loving mother, because I think the love of a parent is something that is irreplaceable!

BN: That’s so special. As a mom, what do you hope to teach Gates as he continues to grow?

RG: I just hope that I teach him to enjoy his life to the absolute fullest!

BN: That’s a good one! And do you have any advice for fellow new parents?

RG: If you are a structured person, be prepared to be a go-with-the-flow person. If you are a go-with-the-flow person, then be prepared to be a stricter person. It’s a balance!

BN: Solid advice! And last but not least, would you let Gates watch your Bachelor Nation journey one day?

RG: Sure! I think I would.
