Abigail Heringer Shares a Series of Good News in the Deaf Community
Making progress.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Abigail Heringer on Season 25 of “The Bachelor” and she went on to find love with Noah Erb on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since her time on the shows, Abigail has kept fans updated with her life on social media, where she also discusses causes that are important to her.
One major cause is advocating for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community as she herself is deaf with cochlear implants.
Abigail does her best to answer questions about being deaf, encourage others to use closed captioning on posts, and debunk misconceptions about the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
Now, she just took to Instagram to share a video about “Big things that have been happening in the deaf community lately!”

The video quickly raked in around a half a million views and counting, and many of Abigail’s fellow Bachelor Nation stars like Serena Pitt, Vanessa Grimaldi, and more shared their excitement over the news.
In the video, Abigail shares some recent exciting news for the deaf community, like Barbie unveiling its first doll with hearing devices, Coldplay announcing how they’re making their shows more accessible to the deaf community, AMC movie theaters adding captions to screens at 240 of their locations, Marvel introducing its first deaf superhero, and a deaf actor winning an Oscar for the very first time.
These are all extremely exciting pieces of news for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community that are way overdue.
