Mike Johnson & Bryan Abasolo Share the Biggest Lessons They Learned from Bachelor Nation Shows
Opening up!
This week, the “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” co-hosts are answering your burning questions.
Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo reveal the biggest lessons they learned about themselves while on Bachelor Nation shows and after.
Mike kicked things off and shared what he learned about love, both on “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Mike said, “When it comes to love, I am so straightforward now, almost to a fault. My homies say that I’m extremely confident and it’s not cocky. It’s just like, ‘I would love to take you on a date, I want to treat you’ and I’m confident in that regard. On the show, you don’t get much time and you don’t know when you’re going to see that person next.”

He went on, saying, “Specifically from the show, I learned a big positive, I’m going to stand up for what I believe in. I’m going to stand up for it.”
Mike also discussed how being TV helped him realize that all the people we see on-screen are also just human.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “You get to meet people that you’ve seen on-screen and you may have these aspirations to be like them or think all these amazing things about them, but then when you really get to hang out with them, you realize they’re the same as us. It helps you realize we’re all just human beings and we all go through the same things. We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Someone you admire probably also had your struggles, if not even more. That was really helpful for me to see.”
Bryan also opened up about what he learned from his time on “The Bachelorette,” and how the show strengthened his relationship with his wife, Rachel Lindsay.

Bryan said, “I learned that you’re stronger than you actually think sometimes. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I learned how to be my most vulnerable self knowing that I was putting myself out there no matter what and lay everything on the line.”
He added, “At the end of the day, I wasn’t 100% positive that I was going to get that reciprocated and that shows strength in it of itself, putting it all out there and having some blind faith that the chips will fall where they may. I think that helped immensely when it came to self growth and character growth for me and it set the tone for the relationship for Rachel and me.”
