Michelle Young Thanks Fans for the Kind Messages and Shares Photos from Girls Trip to Iceland
Taking some time away.
Former Bachelorette Michelle Young announced last week that she and her fiancé Nayte Olukoya would be going their separate ways.
The two found love and got engaged on Season 18 of “The Bachelorette” and in her post, Michelle said, “I stand with him in knowing the heaviness that is present in both of our hearts as this relationship has been very real for us.”
Michelle went on to say that she is “deeply hurting and will need time and space to work through this heartbreak.”
And she just took to Instagram to thank fans for their support and share what she has been up to this past week.
Michelle wrote, “Just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for all of the kind and uplifting messages that were sent my direction. I will still be taking time away from social media, but wanted to share some fulfilling moments from this past week.”
The former Bachelorette then shared a photo with two of her friends and wrote, “You know what they say, ‘Real friends are those who will wipe your tears, remind you to keep your chin up, and hop on a last minute plane to Iceland when you ask them to.’”
Michelle shared photos with her friends enjoying some time in nature and exploring Iceland.
As for Nayte, he also took to social media and said, “Michelle and I are naturally private people, and when it comes to this breakup, we will continue being so.”

He went on, saying, “To the public that has supported these two complete strangers on your television screen, we appreciate you so much. Our relationship may have developed in the public eye, and we know this news will bring a lot of mixed reactions, but please remember that this is real. Emotions are real. The heartbreak is real.”
