Zac Clark Educates Followers on the Importance of Narcan and How to Use the Lifesaving Drug

Bachelor Nation met Zac Clark fall on Season 16 of “The Bachelorette” and while he and Tayshia Adams split up, the two have continued to support each other and share their lives with fans on social media.
As Bachelor Nation fans remember, Zac shared his struggle with addiction and journey to sobriety with Tayshia on-screen.
And since his time on the show, Zac has continued to share resources for addiction, mental health, and more.
Now, he took to Instagram to share the importance of the drug Narcan, which is used for the treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose emergency.
Alongside a video of him demonstrating how to use the nasal spray, Zach wrote, “NARCAN is a life saving drug. We are losing too many people to overdoses. Please help share this video, it could save a life.”

In the video, Zach said Narcan only lasts for around 30 to 90 minutes and shared steps for what to do next after administering the medication.
He also noted that his post was not an ad or affiliated with the drug, he just wants to educate people and get Narcan in everyone’s homes and workplaces because it can save lives.
Zac explained what to do in five steps, writing, “1. Know the signs of an overdose (blue lips, slow breathing). 2. Call 911. Most states have Good Samaritan laws that protect both the person overdosing and the caller from legal trouble. 3. Administer Narcan. 4. Try to keep the person awake and breathing. If you aren’t CPR certified, try Rescue Breathing. Wait two minutes, if they are still unresponsive administer the second dose. 5. Lay the person on their side (recovery position) and stay with them until help arrives.”
