Angela Amezcua Gets Emotional Revealing She’s Been Full-Time Caretaking for a Sick Family Member
Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Angela Amezcua on Season 21 of “The Bachelor,” and she went on to appear on Seasons 5 and 6 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since her time on the shows, Angela has been keeping fans updated with her life on social media.
This week, the Bachelor Nation star shared an update with her followers and got emotional in her post.
Alongside the video where she opened up about why she’s been less present on social media, Angela wrote, “This was so scary for me to make… but I’ve been getting lots of DMs the past few months on where I’m living, what I’m doing, etc… and I’ve been avoiding this topic because honestly it’s really hard for me to share. So here it is: I’ve essentially been a full time caretaker lately for a family member that I care so deeply for.”
The Bachelor Nation star went on, saying, “I’ve scaled back on modeling & influencing and traveling and just all the things because of it and I’m okay with that. I just want to help as much as I can, although a lot of the time I feel helpless and like a spectator just watching someone you love more than words suffer… I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”
Through all the hardship, Angela said she’s been doing her best to stay positive, like she tries to in most situations.
She said, “Y’all know me, I’ve kept my faith at the center of my life and try to stay positive as always! Things will be okay, I just know it!! But just felt I owed you guys an update as I’ve shared my life with you all so publicly the last 5+ years. But I would love to be more active on here like I used to and give myself a creative outlet during these hard times. So thank you all so much for being here for me and always being so kind and supportive.”
Many of her fellow Bachelor Nation stars showed Angela support after she shared her vulnerable post.
Katie Morton wrote, “Ang!!!! I love you so much. You’re truly an angel.”
Elyse Dehlbom said, “Being a caretaker is so difficult and I will be thinking of you! Remember when you can to take moments for yourself.”
And Caroline Lunny reshared Angela’s post and wrote, “My sweet friend Angela is super private and has quietly been going through hell and back… I’m so proud of her for putting herself out there and trying to get herself back in the groove. Please go show her love and support and just a reminder that you have no idea what battles people are facing, so always be kind.”
We couldn’t agree more with all the love, and we’re keeping Angela and her loved ones in our thoughts during this difficult time.
