Zach Shallcross & Kaity Biggar Reveal If They’ve Started Wedding Planning and Discuss Their Dream Destination
Spilling the tea.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar find love and get engaged on Season 27 of “The Bachelor.”
The two have since moved in together in Austin, Texas, and are enjoying their lives as a happily engaged couple.
Now, the lovebirds stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, where they opened up about their wedding planning, dream destinations, and more with co-hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.
The co-hosts asked Zach and Kaity if they’ve started planning their big day yet and Kaity got candid with her answer.
She said, “Nope. We have decided 2025 probably. Realistically, it was two months on the show and everything was expedited. You really don’t get to know the entirety of somebody in two months. I knew Gabi and Ariel more than I knew Zach, but I knew his heart and I knew his morals and values. I knew I wanted to be with this man. I knew he’d make a great father and husband and that’s what sprung me into this relationship.”
Zach chimed in, sharing, “We now finally get to go on our own time and at our own pace. We get asked all the time ‘When’s the wedding date?’ and ‘Hurry it up!’ and it’s like, ‘Chill. We’re finally getting to date and spend time together and build our relationship that is growing.’ No, we don’t have a specific date because our entire relationship was leading up to a date.”
And Kaity explained that they still had so much to learn about each other after the show, so they didn’t feel rushed.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “We’re still learning so much about each other every day. After the show, I didn’t know how he treated his family, his mom, a server — does he tip 20%? I didn’t know these things. He’s actually a great tipper! We’re honestly just enjoying this stage in our relationship so much.”
The two shared that they would truly be happy just getting married at the courthouse one day, but Joe and Serena asked what their dream wedding would be.
Kaity said, “Our dream wedding would be Turks and Caicos on the beach. 2025, probably May weather. He’s heard this all.”
Zach agreed, adding, “Ideally when we put pen to paper, we want to do a destination wedding. Very small, very intimate, close family and friends, but make it fun for everyone. We want to go somewhere cool and leave it at that. Make it a vacation for everyone.”
Kaity shared that the two have talked about saving the money they’d spend on a wedding to buy a house.
She said, “It’s really hard to justify spending thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars on just a day. It’s a very special day, mind you. Or we could put that money towards a house that’s going to be ours for the rest of our lives, but it’s this special thing.”
Joe and Serena shared that it was the best week of their lives getting to share a destination wedding with their family and friends in Charleston, South Carolina.
