Jess Girod Opens Up About Moving and Discusses Her Full-Time Remote Job: ‘I Am So Scared!’
New year, new chapter.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Jess Girod look for love on Season 27 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Season 9 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Now, Jess is taking to her TikTok page to open up about an exciting new adventure she’s taking on in 2024.
Jess revealed that she’s moving across the country and her fellow Bachelor Nation star Kylee Russell shared that they are moving to San Diego, California, together.
In the video, Jess said, “Little life update for you guys. I am moving! I can’t believe I finally get to say this, but I am moving out of my hometown, thank goodness. For the last year, I have been living in limbo. It’s been a whole year of figuring out what the heck I want to do. At this age, I’m 24, it’s kind of like, what’s next for me? I can’t even really answer that question, to be honest. But I have a full-time remote job, which allows me to have that flexibility to move.”
According to Jess’ LinkedIn page, she is an e-commerce coordinator at women’s fashion company Tally and Fin.
So she’ll be continuing to work remotely from San Diego, but Jess revealed why she’s a bit nervous to move.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “I have always wanted to leave the state of Florida, and don’t get me wrong, I love Florida so much. I know that I want to raise a family here, so I want to get out while I’m young. This is the perfect age because I don’t have any ties to anyone or anything, but I am so scared! No one in my family has left the state of Florida, so when I brought this up to them, they all said, ‘Heck no! Do not move. What are you doing?!’”
She went on, “Just like they told me not to do ‘The Bachelor,’ I’m going to do it anyway. Moving across the country by myself is really terrifying. I’ve never done it before and my college was only four hours away driving. I’ve never really left, so this should be interesting and I’m excited to bring you along with me.”
Jess ended her video saying she has two weeks before she picks up and moves her life across the country, and we can’t wait for all that this next chapter has in store for her.
