This Week in Bachelor Nation History: Trista & Ryan Sutter Prepare for Their Wedding Day!
Trista and Ryan Sutter found love and got engaged on the very first season of “The Bachelorette.”
Trista gave Ryan her final rose back in 2003 and the two have been together ever since. They got married on TV in a three-episode special called “Trista & Ryan’s Wedding.”
Since then, the Bachelor Nation couple has had two children: Max, 14, and Blakesley, 12.
But this week in Bachelor Nation history, we are throwing it back to before Trista and Ryan’s wedding and babies.
This week, the couple was preparing for their December 2003 wedding and appeared on a special episode of “The Bachelor: Where Are They Now?”

In the episode, the couple hadn’t announced their wedding date yet, but they were in the planning process.
Fans got to watch Trista, her sister, and her mom go wedding dress shopping where she tried on gowns for the very first time.
During the episode, Trista’s mom says that when you are with Trista and Ryan, you can feel that they can’t get enough of each other, and the couple echoed this sentiment.
Ryan said, “Trista and I met each other on ‘The Bachelorette,’ but since the show, our relationship has only gotten stronger. It grows and blossoms every day.”
Trista also added, “I’m just in love with my life. From the very first night I was attracted to Ryan. When he came out of the limo, I knew this was a guy I’d have to keep my eye on.”
During the episode, Trista and Ryan are also joined by her mom at a department store where they started to register for wedding gifts.
And as they prepared for their big day, Ryan revealed that he gave a news outlet the wrong date to try and throw them off.

Fans know now that the two tied the knot on December 6, 2003, in Rancho Mirage, California.
Their wedding was televised, and over 20 million viewers tuned in to experience their special wedding ceremony.
