The Bachelor - Season 21
Synopsis
After two appearances on “The Bachelorette” and a trip to “Paradise,” 36-year-old Nick Viall became a fan favorite with women and men across the country rooting for him to become the Bachelor and continue his quest to find love. The people spoke, and “The Bachelor” listened! A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, with a double major in accounting and supply chain management, Nick is one of the most accomplished and successful Bachelors. He grew up in Milwaukee with his 10 siblings. When he’s not spending time with friends and family, Nick enjoys traveling, beach volleyball and rooting for his beloved Green Bay Packers.
Nick’s journey as the 21st Bachelor began at Bachelor Mansion, where he met 30 women, all excited for their chance at Nick’s heart. As the journey continued, Nick and the women traveled to many places, including Viall’s home state of Wisconsin; New Orleans, St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, Bimini, and the Bahamas. They were also treated to surprise appearances from Olympians Michelle Carter, Allyson Felix, and Carl Lewis, and musical performances from the Backstreet Boys, Chris Lane, Lolo, and Adam Friedman.
After visiting the hometowns of his final four women, Nick and his final three traveled to Finland for a week of cold, snowy days and warm, romantic nights. There, after meeting Nick’s family, Nick’s journey as the Bachelor came to an end when he proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi, a 29-year-old special education teacher from Quebec.
