Why Nick Viall Feels ‘Sorry’ for New Bachelor Peter Weber
Nick Viall knows a thing or two about the Bachelor. After all, he’s been on “The Bachelor,” “Bachelor in Paradise,” and “The Bachelorette” (twice).
As someone who has spent his fair share of time in Bachelor Mansion, Nick hopes to share some of his worldly knowledge with the new Bachelor, Peter Weber. Nick joined Rachel Lindsay and Krystal Nielson on an all-new episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour” and they discussed the future of Bachelor Nation, including Peter’s upcoming season of “The Bachelor.”
Nick ultimately hopes the 28-year-old pilot finds love. Rachel and Lindsay both believe he will because “he wears his heart on his sleeve.” Nick shared, “I hope for Peter a woman he’s really into was cast and is really into him. That’s the hope, because it is a crapshoot. My advice for him is hopefully you’re lucky enough to meet her and protect that relationship.”
Season 23 Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. gave his own two cents in September. His tip for Peter read, “It’s the most insane experience that comes with an enormous amount of pressure and stress, but at the same time you have to block that out to soak it in and ENJOY IT.”

During their chat, Nick sympathized a lot with Peter, as well as every future Bachelor and Bachelorette. “I feel sorry for Peter,” he said. He blamed the “perceived playbook” for this, because there’s the constant worry and question of “Are you here for the right reasons?” Nick said, “Now more than ever that question is more valid.”
The Wisconsin native believes this “fear is more valid to have,” and it’s something Nick believes Peter should look out for.
Much of this fear and concern revolves around social media’s influence on Bachelor Nation cast members, including growing one’s followers and participating in lucrative sponsorships. Earlier in the podcast, Nick blamed social media for the potential “civil war brewing amongst Bachelor Nation cast.”
While Peter is perceived as Mr. Nice Guy, Nick doesn’t think he’s Ben Higgins incarnate. There’s a one-word reason why: windmill. Nick said (in a pretty NSFW sentence), “We know Pete f—ks. He f—ks four times in a windmill. If there’s an opportunity for the producers to talk about it, they’ll do it. We know he keeps condoms in his car.”
He continued, “I’ve heard from multiple people that Peter has swag and is charming. He knows what he’s doing. I don’t think he’s as safe as people think he is.”
