The Next Bachelor Is… Peter Weber!
The wait is finally over — the Season 24 Bachelor is… Peter Weber!
The 28-year-old looked ecstatic and could hardly contain his enthusiasm while chatting with Chris Harrison on the “Bachelor in Paradise” finale. Peter said he felt “so grateful” and “emotional” about being given the opportunity to date 30 women and find love (see pictures of the women here!).
He told Chris, “My entire life, I have truly looked forward to finding my girl and that person that I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with.” He explained that he looks up to his parents as role models when it comes to relationships because he “saw so much love in my household” and “they’re still going strong” all these years later.
Peter knows this process won’t be easy, but he has full faith in following his heart. He said, “This is not normal — dating 30 women at a time. I’ve never done this before, so there’s going to be ups and downs. I know that’s coming, and I’m not going to be perfect being in this position. The possibility of making the wrong decision is out there, but I’m going to follow my heart.”
The Delta Airlines pilot offered some sound advice for the women, especially because he just went through this exact same process a few months ago. He said, “Show me that vulnerable raw side from the very beginning. If you’re starting to fall, tell me. If you’re angry at me, tell me. Wear your heart on your sleeve.”
Bachelor Nation fell head over heels in love with Pilot Peter the moment he walked up the driveway at Bachelor Mansion looking dapper in his pilot uniform. He became a front-runner and a breath of fresh air during Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette” because he separated himself from all the drama and stress surrounding Luke Parker.
The rest of Peter’s family flew their way into “Bachelorette” viewers’ hearts as well. During his hometown date, Peter’s dad, Peter Sr., broke down in tears when he wished his son happiness on his journey to find love with Hannah.
Peter Sr. told his Peter, “I only want the best for you. That’s it. I just want the best for you.”
Peter’s time on “The Bachelorette” came to a very emotional close when Hannah sent him home in Crete, Greece, after their Fantasy Suite date.
Now it’s Peter’s turn for redemption in love, and he’s ready. He told Chris, “This is going to be one of the most beautiful love stories, and I can’t wait for it to begin.”
Season 24 of “The Bachelor” airs in 2020.
