Peyton Lambton Thanks Ali Fedotowsky for 'Not Choosing' Chris on 'The Bachelorette'
Many people believe that everything happens for a reason — heartbreak included.
Chris Lambton showed up the first night of Ali Fedotowsky’s season of "The Bachelorette" with a boyish grin, upbeat attitude, and Cape Cod pride. He and Ali both hail from Massachusetts, and they quickly bonded over their home state.
They maintained a steady relationship over the course of the season and he made it to the final two in Tahiti before Ali sent him home the day before the final Rose Ceremony, a night he relived on Monday’s episode of "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!"
She told him when breaking up with him, "I feel like you have all the qualities I want in somebody. You’re one of the best men I’ve ever been able to meet in my whole life. Even if two people really enjoy spending time with each other, I don’t know if that necessarily means it’s supposed to be. Do you understand what I’m saying? I’m in love with somebody else. I have to let you go here and not wait until tomorrow."

Chris left Bora Bora with a broken heart, but that wound was mended a few years later when he met Peyton Wright, who appeared on Andy Baldwin’s season of "The Bachelor." They met through their mutual friend Jesse Beck, who was on "The Bachelorette" with Chris and "Bachelor Pad" with Peyton, and fell in love. They’ve been married for eight years and have two kids, Lyla and Hayes.
Peyton and Chris watched the "Greatest Seasons — Ever!" episode and Peyton wrote about what the experience was like for her. She wrote on Instagram alongside a photo from the family’s interview with Chris Harrison, "So last night I watched my husband date another woman on television. Something I never thought I would say! While I was a little nervous to watch, I came out the other side so grateful and thankful for this entire experience."

She continued, "Thank you to my amazing husband @chrislambton13 for being exactly who I know you are then and now. Thank you to @alifedotowsky for not choosing him and for being so graceful with his exit."
Peyton also thanked Chris Harrison and the "Bachelor" franchise for "putting this all in motion for us," adding, "Without the show I’m not sure our paths would have ever crossed."
Chris, Peyton, and their family live in Cape Cod and haven’t seen the last of their television days, either. Chris has an HGTV show that focuses on his landscaping expertise. Lyla and Hayes can often be found helping out their dad with gardening and other home improvement work. Lyla and Chris also have the sweetest daily tradition of reading the newspaper together in the morning.
It's a Bachelor Nation love story at its best!
