Get to Know Matt James! Here Are a Few of Our New Bachelor's 'Favorite Things'
We’re less than a week away from the Season 25 premiere of “The Bachelor” — so it’s time we get to know our new lead, Matt James, right?
Luckily, the handsome real estate broker shared a list of his “favorite things” before he begins to grace our screens every Monday night.
“Hi, I’m Matt from ‘The Bachelor,’ and here are a few of my favorite things,” he says in a video, shared on Tuesday by the official “Bachelor” Instagram account.
His favorite meal? Pancakes. Vacation spot? Canada. Color? Black. Season? Fall. Holiday? Christmas. Music genre? R&B. Superhero? One-Punch Man. Sport? Skateboarding. Animal? Sea turtle.

Over on the “Bachelor” page’s Story, Matt divulged a few more facts about himself. His most-used emoji is the crying-laughing face, and his go-to karaoke song is Montell Jordan’s 1995 hit “This Is How We Do It.” And when he’s not indulging in his beloved pancakes, he’s digging into a cheeseburger with French fries, his other “favorite meal.”
Matt’s revelations come one week after an extended “Bachelor” trailer was released, teasing what drama fans can expect when the show returns. There is chatter among the group of women about a contestant who “may be having a transactional relationship with wealthy men.”
Bank marketing manager Katie says, “I’ve heard two terms going around. I’ve heard ‘sugar baby’ and ‘escort.’” Elsewhere, Victoria — a self-proclaimed “queen” who arrives on night one wearing a tiara and carrying a scepter — seems to emerge as this season’s villain. “The queen has arrived, b--ches!” she declares at one point.
