Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici Mourn Their Dog Ellie in Emotional Posts: 'You Have Been So Loved'
Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are mourning their loss of their beloved dog Ellie.
The former Bachelor headed over to Instagram on Wednesday to say goodbye to his canine companion, whom he described as “the best dog in the world.”
“Saying goodbye to a dog is just the worst,” Sean wrote alongside a series of photos, which show Ellie in her puppy days as well as in more recent years. “Before Catherine, before my kids, before all the Bachelor stuff, there was Ellie.”
He added, “My kids will never measure up to her greatness and I will let them know that daily. Now please enjoy this depressing carousel of pictures.”

Catherine — who shares sons Samuel, 4, and Isaiah, 2, and daughter Mia, 14 months, with Sean — expressed similar sentiments in a tribute of her own posted on Thursday.
“Thank you for letting me be your dog mommy and being the most patient, obedient, loving friend,” she captioned a slideshow of photos featuring sweet moments with Ellie. “You have been so loved Ellie girl and I'll miss you every day. Thank you for opening your heart to us a sliver because we know your heart belongs to your daddy.”

This isn’t the first time Sean and Catherine — who wed in 2014 after meeting and falling in love on “The Bachelor” Season 17 — have suffered the loss of a furry friend.
In November 2016, the Dallas, Texas-based couple had to put down their dog Lola after she lost the ability to walk and stand up due to a genetic disease. “Easily one of the toughest ‘grown up decisions’ we’ve ever had to make,” Sean wrote at the time. “We'll see you when we get there sweet Lola.”
