Kevin Wendt & Astrid Loch Celebrate 1-Year Anniversary of Bringing Rescue Dog Ace Home
Doggone adorable! Kevin Wendt took to social media on Tuesday to celebrate the one-year anniversary of becoming a pet parent to his dog Ace alongside fiancée Astrid Loch.
“It’s been a year since this little guy joined our family from Korea,” Kevin captioned an Instagram Reel, highlighting some of his best memories with Ace, who was rescued in May 2020 from a kill shelter in South Korea.
“Thanks @bunnysbuddies for everything you do for so many pups, and thanks for finding us Ace,” he continued, acknowledging the organization that connected him and Astrid with their canine companion. “We saved him and he saved us.”
In Kevin’s accompanying clip — set to the tune of Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s hit song “Meant to Be” — the handsome Bachelor Nation star shared footage of Ace enjoying some of his favorite activities.
“After some shots and much needed haircut he finally made his way to his new home in Toronto,” the video reads. “He’s since learned how to run up stairs… how to swim… how to go on bike rides (kinda)… & how to give the best kisses.”
Added Kevin, “Forever grateful to have him in our lives.”
Astrid later expressed her love for Ace in the comments section of Kevin’s post: “My little angel baby.”
Astrid and Kevin — who met and fell in love during the summer of 2018 on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” — have been engaged since August 2019. Though they had plans to tie the knot on November 13, 2020, in Astrid’s native Florida, they were forced to readjust due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the deadly Tropical Storm Eta. Now, they are set to exchange vows this November.
We have a feeling Ace will be a part of the couple’s long-awaited ceremony! Swoon over Kevin and Astrid’s sweet pup below.
