When Tayshia Adams accepted the honor for Best Dating Show at the inaugural MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED ceremony on May 17, she dedicated the win to people behind the scenes who helped make her and Clare Crawley’s Season 16 of “The Bachelorette” exceptional.
On this week’s episode of “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation,” Tayshia explained why it was important for her to acknowledge the hard work of producers, camera operators, and more unseen talent.
“We were in Palm Springs, California, during the hottest time of the year,” recalled the former franchise lead, whose journey ended with an engagement to Zac Clark. “And we have to be outside filming for hours. And just thinking about the cameramen standing there with those cameras in 122-degree heat every single day, it was really tough on everyone.”
Tayshia then noted that the crew spent a significant time away from their families while filming inside of a coronavirus-free bubble at La Quinta Resort and Club.
“I don’t think people realize how much hard work and dedication the people behind the cameras really do sacrifice in order to make this TV show,” she elaborated. “That’s why I was like, ‘Even though I’m here accepting this — and I feel like I have large part in that as well — there are so many more faces that you guys do not see that make this TV show what it is.’”
Tayshia added, “And they’re really like my family. I feel like I wouldn’t have been so comfortable doing what I did if I didn’t have all of them.”
