Emily Maynard Johnson Celebrates 7 Years of Marriage with Husband Tyler in Sweet Tribute
Lucky No. 7! Emily Maynard Johnson headed over to Instagram on Tuesday to celebrate seven years of marriage with husband Tyler Johnson in a sweet tribute.
“Seven years later and I couldn’t be more thankful for you and the life we’ve created together,” the Bachelor Nation star captioned a photo of herself and Tyler posing with their children. “I love you @mtylerjohnson {you’ll always be the hot guy from church in my eyes}.”
As fans are well aware, Emily appeared on “The Bachelor” Season 15 in 2011, which resulted in a short-lived engagement to Brad Womack. She later starred as the Bachelorette during Season 8 in 2012. While she accepted a proposal from her final rose recipient, Jef Holm, the pair eventually parted ways.
Emily found her happily ever, however, with Tyler, whom she reconnected with after her run as the Bachelorette ended. The North Carolina native opened up about the genesis of her interest in Tyler during a 2017 interview with “Good Morning America.”

“I met him at church before I did ‘The Bachelorette.’ He really wanted nothing to do with me,” she said at the time. “I told my girlfriend I met this guy and he could not be less attracted to me. He was in the friend zone.”
Without a camera in sight, though, Emily and Tyler fell in love when she returned home and resumed church services. It wasn’t long before the couple tied the knot in June 2014.
Emily and Tyler have since welcomed three sons: Jennings, 5, Gibson, 4, and Gatlin, 3. Emily welcomed the pair’s first daughter and her fifth child, Magnolia, in October 2020. The blonde beauty is also mom to daughter Ricki, 15, whose father, race car driver Ricky Hendrick, died in an October 2004 plane crash.
Happy anniversary, Emily and Tyler!
