A double dose of cuteness! After welcoming twins on June 11, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and wife Lauren Burnham Luyendyk took to social media on Monday to share the first photos and video of their newborn son and daughter.
“Never been prouder of my wife than in this moment,” Arie wrote alongside a carousel of sweet snapshots on his Instagram page. “She is the strongest woman I know and I’m lucky to be on this incredible journey with her. We are proud parents of a healthy boy and girl!”
On her own page, Lauren posted a pair of photos, including one that shows the couples bundles of joy holding hands. “6.11.21 @luyendyktwins,” she wrote, accompanied by white heart and prayer-hands emojis.
In addition, the beloved Bachelor Nation couple — who also share daughter Alessi, 2 — uploaded footage from Lauren’s delivery to their YouTube channel with the title, “MEET OUR BABIES! TWIN BIRTH VLOG.”
It wasn’t long before Arie and Lauren’s franchise family responded to the photos of their twins with awestruck messages in their comments sections.
“So happy for your family! They are absolutely perfect,” wrote Jade Roper Tolbert, while Ashley Iaconetti Haibon remarked, “They’re so cute!!! Congratulations!!”
Meanwhile, Elyse Dehlbom — who lives near Arie and Lauren in Arizona — enthused, “Congrats! I am so happy for your growing family, also happy [Lauren] doesn’t have to be pregnant anymore in this HEAT! Congratulations to your growing family!”
Arie and Lauren — who met and fell in love on “The Bachelor” Season 22 in 2018 — announced that they were expecting in December following a devastating miscarriage in May 2020.
Last month, Lauren opened up to Us Weekly about expanding her family and expressed that she was looking forward to watching Alessi step into her new role as a big sister.
“I took her to her first ultrasound with me this weekend. It was fun for her to see that the lady had the ultrasound machine on my stomach, and then she could see the baby on the screen,” the Shades of Rose founder told the outlet at the time.
“I think that maybe helped her put two and two together a little bit more,” she elaborated. “She’s always talking to them, like, ‘Hi, you baby,’ and kissing them. It’s really cute.”
