Derek Peth Reveals How ‘The Bachelor’ Helped Him Meet Fiancée Saffron Vadher
While “Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise” veteran Derek Peth might have gotten engaged for the first time on TV, he’s since found a new love offscreen, this time with model Saffron Vadher.

When the couple announced their engagement in November 2020, Derek took to Instagram and wrote, “I can’t wait to spend eternity with you, Saffie. The most beautiful, kind, loving partner and teammate I could have ever imagined.”
Derek recently joined Ashley Iaconetti Haibon on “Almost Famous,” the podcast she shares with Ben Higgins, and revealed how Bachelor Nation helped him land a first date with the model.

He told Ashley that the night he first met Saffron, he was out with a group of friends and was supposed to meet up with a date later that evening. He says he didn’t feel right asking for Saffron’s number at that moment because he wanted to be fair to his date, who was already on her way.
Thankfully, though, Saffron’s friends were fans of the Bachelor franchise and had seen him on the show, even though Saffron had never seen an episode. After a few drinks, one of Saffron’s friends sent him a message expressing Saffron’s interest, and the two quickly got set up.
So, while Derek might not have met his fiancée on a Bachelor show, the series still managed to help him spark a romance with his future wife.
Ashley chimed in, commenting that theirs is a “great” love story, and Derek couldn’t help but agree.
During a previous appearance on Sharleen Joynt’s podcast, “Dear Shandy,” the happy couple revealed that they fell head over heels and moved in together after only a month of dating.
Derek and Saffron haven’t officially announced a wedding date yet, but the two continue to share sweet photos together on social media and enjoy their time as fiancés!
We can’t wait to see these two at the altar when the big day comes!
