After seeing this extended teaser, it's clear why Chris Harrison says Clare Crawley's season of "The Bachelorette" is "unlike any we've ever had."
On Monday evening, the show released a two-minute sneak peek at the upcoming season, which premieres Tuesday, October 13. In it, Clare greets her men, claims she "just met my husband," and doesn't shy away from telling off one suitor disrespecting her.
At one point, someone yells, "I expected way more from the oldest Bachelorette."
Clare tells the camera, "Sick. Sick! I don’t care what I’ve done. To sit there and say, 'You’re the oldest Bachelorette.' Guess what? I’m the oldest Bachelorette because I’m 39 and single because I didn’t settle for men like that."
In fact, Clare makes history this season as the franchise's oldest Bachelorette, and she doesn't mind one bit. She's spoken in the past about why she refuses to settle, and her assertion in the trailer is a clear-cut example of that.
The clip also shows Clare getting cozy with Dale, though other men express their hesitations about the former pro football player.
An unidentified speaker says, "It’s only a matter of time before Clare realizes the truth, that Dale’s maybe not who Clare thinks he is."
At another point, someone says, "You want to get crazy? Let's get f---king crazy. How about the 15 of us walk out?"
